The natural fiber C Y N T H I A® finds a perfect application in the production of plant pots & alternative packaging .
Owing to the structure and composition of the Cynthia fiber, we managed to develop a specific production process to manufacture plant pots. Once the pots are produced, a natural coating is applied on it allowing a resistance to water immersion for six weeks. The pots are 100% biodegradable.
Every year, billions of plastic plant pots are ending up in landfill. On average, it takes around 450 years for single-use plastic items to biodegrade in landfill. In 2018, the European Union voted to ban single-use plastic by 2021.
C Y N T H I A® based plant pots are 100% bio-based products using only natural fiber and natural binders (acc. DIN/ISO 4851/14852).
« Using degradable plastic in the garden would do nothing to counteract the problem because of the amount of fossil fuels involved in making these products. » Friends of the Earth.
